Haiku Poem (The Seasons- by Ainsley)

We recently learned about this fun form of poetry!

Haiku is a form of poetry from Japan. A Haiku verse has a total of 17 syllables: 5 in the first line, 7 in the second and 5 in the third.

I gave my daughter the task of writing a Haiku poem about each season, here is what she created:

Leaves fall on the ground

The leaves turn red, yellow, brown

Leaves falling by wind

Winter is quite cold

Snow falls on the ground softly

Time to make a snowman

Leaves grow back on trees

Flowers grow in the gardens

Spring days come quickly

Summer is very hot

You can have fun in the pool

Don't get a sunburn

Try your own- give your kids a topic and let them create something as unique as they are!!

Post their results, I would love to read what everyone comes up with!!
