Fried Oreos: My Guilty Pleasure

I don't eat fried foods often.
In general, fried foods gross me out. The way it looks, the mess it leaves on your fingers and the way they make my stomach feel.
There are a few exceptions to my non-fried-food-diet...
Chips, chicken, doughnuts- and desserts
Dessert nachos are good
Elephant ears are great
Fried ice cream is exceptional
But there are three fried desserts that are HEAVENLY: fried Milky Way bars, fried cookie dough and...
FRIED OREOS
I made a batch of batter for breakfast corn dogs which I also used to make pancake fritters and with the last little bit I made Fried Oreos.
Ingredients
Mix the dry stuff
Mix the wet stuff
Mix the wet and dry stuff together
Heat the oil- my stove is numbered from 1-10 and 4 seemed to be the right setting for this.
Pick your poison... in this case it is golden Oreos and Double Stuff Oreos!
Dunk your cookies in the batter
Lay them in the hot oil
Don't forget to flip! Remove from the oil with tongs and place on a plate covered in paper towel or on a wire cooling rack
Let them cool a little before devouring them!
It is positively sinful.
But so, sooooo good!
The only way to make these bad boys even better is adding a scoop of ice cream!
